DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHIATRY

Child and Adolescent PsychiatrY

In order to meet the objective laid down by Hon’ble Supreme Court the Management Committee in it’s meeting on 08.02.05 was pleased to create the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit to cater the service to the children suffering from emotional and psychiatric problem.

The unit has started functioning in out patients department from 01.04.05.

ELECTRO CONVULSIVE THERAPY UNIT

An air conditioned and computerized electro convulsive therapy unit is established.

Modified ECT (Electro Convulsive Therapy) under general anesthesia is being given.

The unit is equipped with modern equipments.

Latest and safe medicines are used for inducing brief anesthesia before ECT is administered.
